The Good:

– great size for a small forward
– 6'11" wingspan
– physically strong
– good leaper
– big time scorer
– solid three point shooter
– good at drawing fouls
– good offensive rebounder
– takes good care of the ball
– aggressive on offense – always attacking
– very consistent scorer – only one single-digit scoring game in college
– played for a college program renowned for producing great NBA players
– intense, confident player

 

The Bad:

– a year older than most other freshman
– possible character issues
– high volume shooter
– inefficient scorer
– mediocre on the defensive boards
– brings nothing defensively
– black hole on offense – doesn't set up teammates
– solid but not outstanding athlete
– struggles creating his own shot
– is very left dominant
– is used to being a star – can he adjust to being a complimentary player?

The Skinny:

There was one point in time not too long ago when Shabazz Muhammad was projected to be the #1 overall pick this June.  While there are plenty of red flags (on and off the court) associated with him, if he slides out of the lottery a team could have a steal of a pick on their hands.
