Small Forward
6’9″ 230 lbs

 

College Accolades:

Third Team All-American (2014)
First Team All-Pac-12 (2014)
Most Outstanding Player Pac-12 Tournament (2014)
Second Team All-Pac 12 (2013)
All-Pac 12 Freshman Team (2013)

The Good:

– great size for a small forward
– massive 7’3″ wingspan
– extremely skilled – ran the point for most of his career
– amazing playmaker – point forward potential
– terrific rebounder
– very good at getting steals
– accurate three point shooter
– good at drawing fouls
– takes very good care of the ball (turnovers are high, but assist/turnover ratio stellar)
– showed great improvement over his two years in college
– very smart player

The Bad:

- not a huge scorer
– a very inefficient scorer also
– can hit the three, but doesn’t take many
– what position is he suited for in the NBA?
– not quick or explosive (nickname is ‘Slow Mo’)
– poor defender
– needs to get stronger physically

The Skinny:

A very intriguing prospect, it’s hard to say whether Anderson’s game will translate to the NBA or not.  Will depend on him getting in the right system with the right coach.
