Hoops Headlines: Dec 13, 2011

While you are snug in your bed, with visions of sugar plums dancing in your head, The Hoops Manifesto is scouring the internet for all the hoops news you need to know.  Here is your Hoops Headlines for Dec 13, 2011.

NBA

- Chris Paul is still a Hornet… for now, as the Clippers have backed out of their deal for him.

- But the Clippers have a very good backup plan if they aren’t able to secure Paul’s services, picking Chauncey Billups up off of waivers to run the point for them.

- And the top free agent on the market, Marc Gasol, is also staying put as he has re-upped with the Memphis Grizzlies.

- Dwight Howard continues to act out the old Clash song ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’, as he might not really want to leave Orlando after all.

- Baron Davis to the Knicks?!  What, is Isiah Thomas running the show again?!

NCAA

- Suspensions might be the least of the worries of the players involved in this past weekend’s Xavier-Cincinnati brawl  – an Ohio prosecutor is considering having criminal charges laid.

- Could Murray State go undefeated this year?!
