The Non-Big Three Star of Game 2 – Danny Green

(Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports)

The 2013 NBA Finals are being billed as a battle of the "Big Three" of the Heat and Spurs.  And while you need a superstar(s) to win a title, you also need a strong supporting cast.  So The Hoops Manifesto will look to shine some light on these less heralded players with our "The Non-Big Three Star of the Game" award given out after every game of the Finals.

The Non-Big Three Star of Game 2:

Danny Green – San Antonio

30 minutes, 17 points (6-6 FG, 5-5 3Pts)

Yes, his team got blown out in Game 2, but you can't deny Danny Green his moment in the sun.  The Spurs wing was en fuego last night in Miami, shooting a perfect 6-6 from the field.  But, more importantly, five of those six shots he hit were from behind the three-point arc.  If  more of his teammates were as hot as Green  was on Sunday (or even mildly warm), the Spurs would be up 2-0.
