The 2013 NBA Finals are being billed as a battle of the "Big Three" of the Heat and Spurs. And while you need a superstar(s) to win a title, you also need a strong supporting cast. So The Hoops Manifesto will look to shine some light on these less heralded players with our "The Non-Big Three Star of the Game" award given out after every game of the Finals.
The Non-Big Three Star of Game 6:
Kawhi Leonard- San Antonio
46 minutes, 22 points (9-14 FG), 11 boards, 3 steals
Kawhi Leonard did it again – he brought his A game for the Spurs and did it pretty much under-the-radar (other than his huge slam on Mike Miller) as per usual. When you get a line of 22 points, 11 boards and 3 steals from one of your support players, you generally are going to win the game. Somehow, though, the Spurs let Game 6 (and perhaps their title chances) split through their fingers.
